How Bright is Your Faith?

President Monson said in this last General Conference: The future is as bright as your faith.

With the world, even our individual worlds and lives, often in commotion and sometimes the outlook is bleak, how wonderful it is, how empowering we can let it be, to hear these words of optimism. There's no doom and gloom. It faith; it's light; it's hope; it's power. No matter what happens, from day to day, the future is as bright as your faith will make it!

The Beginning

I wanted to start this blog as a place where I can voice the faith I have in the future because of my faith in God.

It will be a blog that is unabashedly true to my deep-seeded feelings of gratitude, hope, faith, and overall optimism.

As a self-proclaimed idealistic realist, I understand life enough to not be naive, yet I have a faith in God that has been proven enough to be bold and believing.

There is no shadow so dark, no hope so diminished, neither is there any goal or dream unfulfillable when one looks to God for direction, inspiration, and strength. He has continually been there for me as I humble myself and seek His wisdom and willingness to assist me.

Current world conditions are nothing when viewed in the light of the omnipotence of God. He can do anything. And the great reality is that He will do everything necessary to pull us out of any hole that we may feel swallowed up in.

It does not matter what the stock market does, nor what any person does.

Terrorists and politicians, the media and the mafia, prophets of doom and activists of anarchy - all that matters is that our actions reflect a motivating faith in the Almighty - He who lives and notices the fall of a sparrow; He who loves and whispers peace; He whose ways are not our ways but who always hears the prayers offered in faith.

Unfortunately we live in a world that has blinded us to truth because of political correctness, yet I declare my faith that the only way out of our personal struggles and trials and fears is to be bold by being strong, courageous and creative and to be believing by expressing optimism, hope, and a lively faith in God.

Be bold! Be believing! We must do our best and trust in God to do the rest, always believing and hoping He will, and we will soon find that He will! He will make up where we lack! He will save us! He will prepare the way when there seems to be no way!

This is my faith - even my knowledge from many experiences of proving God as He challenges us to do.

Be bold! and be believing! The future is for those who will!
